INTRODUCTION

This is the third version of this page, and the other two are gone now. Lost in the ether. Thankfully so, as, were they still around, all they'd show is how little staying power I've traditionally had with exercise.

This time will be different though. Definitely. Honestly. I promise.

I'm taking up the hundred pushups challenge! And also two other related challenges: two hundred situps and two hundred squats.

I'll be updating how I'm getting on with the challenges below, and there's an occasionally-updated blog to the right.

I don't imagine this section will actually be of interest to anyone: I'm using it as a way for me to track my progress. Nonetheless, if you are interested, feel free to send encouragement or abuse to fatty@michael-bunning.co.uk

Ah, the best laid plans of mice and men... I woke up on the 28th of February with a blocked nose, and that developed into a real stinker of a cold. And just as I was getting over it, I got another one. Bad enough that I couldn't breathe through my nose, my head felt like it was going to explode from all the sinus pressure and I had a persistent cough.

So I didn't start the challenges on the 1st of March after all. It took until the 24th of March - nearly four weeks later! - until I felt well enough.

But at least I have started the challenges now. They're not going brilliantly though: I'm managing the situps, but I failed miserably at the squats, so I've dropped down to Week 2 instead. I've also failed Week 3, Day 1 of the pushups (twice!) but I'm going to stay at that level until I can do it.
